Living Contemplatively

Living Contemplatively
is not a way of
doing
something,
but essentially a way of
Being.

In my Spiritual immaturity,
I kept looking
for ways
to help me attain
a level of Contemplation
in my life,
only now beginning to realize
that Contemplation is a way of
doing anything,
a way of doing everything.

If Richard Rohr’s definition
of Contemplation,
a long loving look at what is,
is close to being correct,
along with his maxim that
Everything Belongs,
 I have been learning
to do everything in life
with Love,
to be
in Love.

If St. John is right,
in his first epistle, chapter 4, 7-16, that
God is Love,
My being in Love
means being
One with my Creator,
Contemplatively.
